Majes River winery is a small family owned operated business where guests at the lodge can enjoy free sample wine and tours around the winery all year round. Most visitors enjoy the annual festival at "La Vendimia" in February. In addition to traditional wine, Majes River winery produces Brandy, but in Peru is well known as "Pisco", a fermented drink made from the muscatel grape. Pisco is made by distilling grape juice after the grape juice has gone through the process of fermentation. Pisco is distilled in alembics of copper to avoid the taste of other metals compounds.How is it made?
Pisco Recipe: Pisco Sour
1 cup Quebranta pisco
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 egg white
Powder cinnamon
1/3 cup white sugar
Method:
Put all ingredients in blender, add the egg white and 6 ice-cubes. Pour a few drops of “Angostura” and sprinkle ground cinnamon once it is served.
